Buylist Terms
Buylist Terms
These Buylist Terms govern the sale of trading cards and related collectibles by customers to 88 Games Arena.
1. Buylist Service
88 Games Arena may purchase trading cards and related collectibles from customers (“Buylist Items”). Our buylist service currently focuses on Magic: The Gathering (MTG) and Riftbound products, though we may expand to other trading card games at our discretion.
We reserve the right to accept or refuse any Buylist Items at any time and for any reason.
2. Price Quotes and Market Pricing
Prices displayed on our website, in-store, or provided verbally or electronically are indicative market estimates only and may change due to market volatility.
Final pricing is determined at the time of physical inspection of the Buylist Items by 88 Games Arena staff.
Trading card prices may fluctuate rapidly due to market conditions, supply, demand, and competitive pricing.
3. Inspection and Condition Assessment
All Buylist Items must be inspected by 88 Games Arena staff before a final purchase price is confirmed.
Condition will be assessed according to our internal grading standards, which may include:
- Near Mint (NM)
- Lightly Played (LP)
- Moderately Played (MP)
- Heavily Played (HP)
- Damaged
If the condition of a card differs from the condition originally quoted or represented, we may provide a revised purchase offer.
Customers may accept or decline the revised offer.
4. Final Offer and Acceptance
A buylist transaction is only completed once:
- 88 Games Arena provides a final purchase price after inspection; and
- The customer accepts the offered price.
Until the offer is accepted, no binding purchase agreement exists.
5. Right to Refuse Items
88 Games Arena reserves the right to refuse any Buylist Items at our discretion, including where:
- the condition is materially different than expected
- the card cannot be authenticated
- the item is outside our current purchasing scope
- the quantity exceeds our internal limits
- we reasonably suspect fraudulent or suspicious activity
6. Quantity Limits
Unless otherwise agreed, 88 Games Arena will purchase a maximum of eight (8) copies of any individual card per transaction.
We may accept higher quantities at our discretion.
7. Payment Methods
Payment for Buylist Items may be made using one of the following methods, at our discretion:
- Cash
- Electronic payment or bank transfer
- Store credit
Store credit offers may be higher than cash offers where applicable. The exact percentage difference may vary depending on market conditions and inventory needs.
Payment is typically made immediately upon acceptance of the final offer, unless otherwise agreed.
8. Graded Cards
We may purchase professionally graded cards, including PSA, BGS, or CGC.
Unless otherwise stated, the graded status of a card does not guarantee a higher purchase price, and pricing will be determined according to our internal market evaluation.
9. Counterfeit or Altered Cards
If a card is determined to be counterfeit, altered, or otherwise not genuine:
- the card will not be purchased by 88 Games Arena
- the card may be returned to the customer, or
- with the customer’s consent, disposed of on their behalf
88 Games Arena reserves the right to refuse service where counterfeit items are presented.
10. Ownership and Legal Declaration
By selling Buylist Items to 88 Games Arena, you warrant and represent that:
- you are the lawful owner of the items
- the items are not stolen
- the items are free of any third-party claims or encumbrances
We reserve the right to refuse transactions or request identification where we reasonably suspect stolen property or fraudulent activity.
11. Buylist Submission Method
Buylist Items are currently accepted in person only at our store location.
However, 88 Games Arena may introduce mail-in or interstate buylist services in the future, subject to additional terms and procedures.
12. Market Volatility
Trading card prices are subject to rapid fluctuations due to competitive market pricing, game format changes, reprints, and other market forces.
88 Games Arena is not responsible for any perceived loss of value resulting from market changes before, during, or after a buylist transaction.
